A most unfortunate event happened to the fashion world on October 20th, 2014 as the news of Oscar de la Renta's death hit the nation. Oscar de la Renta is famous in the fashion world for his exquisite exotic dress designs. He died at the age of 82, from complications of cancer that he had a few years prior. Renta started creating designs when he was only 18 years old in Spain which is where he turned away from abstract art and followed his passion for fashion. He worked for many big designers in NY a few years after visiting Spain, although it was not until 1965 that he finally got a chance to launch his own brand and line. De la Renta is known for dressing many first ladies in his extravagant gowns. He is also popular for his red carpet looks which he created so well. Featured above is both a picture of de la Renta himself and some of the gowns he has created over the years. Peter Copping will now be appointed as the new creative director for the brand. Hopefully de la Renta's magnificent designs will continue to live on in the fashion world.

The dress featured above is a preview of part of Alexander Wang's new collection designed exclusively for H&M stores. Now everyone can own a Wang original because this dress retails for a mere $60 in comparison to many of Wang's high dollar price tags. Alexander Wang known for his sporty, edgy, and avant-garde approach in the fashion world announced a while ago that he would be doing a mash up with the department store H&M. Well finally his look book for H&M just came out and all his designs will hit H&M stores as soon as November 6th, so be on the lookout for his new collection. This is good news for many people who love Wang's designs but simply don't have the money to afford them, because his designs typically run around $500 for just a shirt which isn't marketed towards the average consumer by any means. Now that his designs will be sold in H&M the shirts will be only a fraction of the price, with shirts and dresses costing around only $60.All of his designs are meant to be comfortable and sporty, so that people can be fashionable while also remaining active. This bag is a must have for Tory Burch addicts. The bag was inspired by some old armor that Burch's family themselves collected. We can see the inspiration unfold in the armor-shaped metallic leather scales covering the entire surface of the purse. This tote is called the Large Doctor's Bag because of its old Dr. bag look and feel. It has a nice leather handle and the metallic is so shiny to the point that it's almost reflective. This is a very large tote, so you can carry just about anything in it. It would make a great carry on bag for those who enjoy traveling frequently. This bag flew off the shelves upon its release just a few weeks ago, it is currently sold out on many of the websites that were carrying it. So consider yourself very lucky if you happen to come across one. This bag is made almost entirely of leather, so it retails for $995 which is considerably more than most of Burch's bags, but this one is defiantly a unique statement piece. Its guaranteed to get compliments on the daily.

"eiffel-fashion-france-gorgeous-model-Favim.com-115597" 2011 Jerine Lay, used under a Creative Commons Attribution 2.0 Generic license: https://creativecommons.org/licenses/by/2.0/ This is a stunning photo that I just had to post because this dress is absolutely stunning. The cut of the dress will cast a perfect silhouette of the female form. The dress shows off lots of leg and is daringly sexy, with a subtly low cut neckline. The form fitting top is extravagantly beaded and the bottom of the dress very delicate as it blows in the wind. This dress is absolutely a statement piece, it looks as if the model has just walked off the runway! The accessories also compliment the dress perfectly without taking anything away from it because the jewelry and shoes are also very high end and glamorous looking. The photographer also chose an excellent choice of scenery with the model being the focus of the picture but still having the Eiffel tower in the background.
